providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information

1.1 Summary
The purpose
of this browser extension is to convert files to PDF or DOC. You can easily
access all your local files from your browser and convert it to your desired
format. We are using a service called Zamzar for the
conversion. You can view their privacy policy here: https://developers.zamzar.com/privacy.
We never receive your files to our server. Therefore, we do not collect and
store the files.
Since it is
a completely free extension, we will never charge you any amount. We have integrated
advertising partners and will display ads in form of popups to monetize the
extension. You will never receive more than one ad per day.

Among the
types of Personal Data that SmartFileConverter
collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: Cookies; Usage Data;
geographic position.

sections of this privacy policy or by specific explanation texts displayed
prior to the Data collection.
Personal
Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data, collected
automatically when using SmartFileConverter.
Unless
specified otherwise, all Data requested by SmartFileConverter
is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for SmartFileConverter to provide its services. In cases where SmartFileConverter specifically states that some Data is
not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without consequences
to the availability or the functioning of the Service.
Users who
are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact the
Owner.
Any use of
Cookies – or of other tracking tools – by SmartFileConverter
or by the owners of third-party services used by SmartFileConverter

The Owner

In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain
types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Application
(administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external
parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers,
hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary,
as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be
requested from the Owner at any time.
Legal basis
of processing
The Owner

legislations the Owner may be allowed to process Personal Data until the User

The Data is
processed at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the
parties involved in the processing are located.

on the User's location, data transfers may involve transferring the User's Data

Users are
also entitled to learn about the legal basis of Data transfers to a country
outside the European Union or to any international organization governed by

Retention time
Personal
Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they
have been collected for.

the Owner and the User shall be retained until such contract has been fully
performed.
Personal
Data collected for the purposes of the Owner’s legitimate interests shall be
retained as long as needed to fulfill such purposes. Users may find specific

relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Owner.
The Owner
may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever the User
has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn.
Furthermore, the Owner may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer
period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or
upon order of an authority.
Once the retention
period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted. Therefore, the right to access,
the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data
portability cannot be enforced after expiration of the retention period.

The Data
concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Services, as
well as for the following purposes: Advertising, Device permissions for
Personal Data access and Infrastructure monitoring.

Device permissions for Personal Data access
Depending
on the User's specific device, this Application may request certain permissions
that allow it to access the User's device Data as described below.

can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by the
User at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, Users may refer to the
device settings or contact the Owner for support at the contact details
provided in the present document.
The exact
procedure for controlling app permissions may be dependent on the User's device
and software.
Please note
that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of
this Application.
If User
grants any of the permissions listed below, the respective Personal Data may be
processed (i.e accessed to, modified or removed) by
this Application.

Application requests certain permissions from Users that allow it to access the
User's device Data as summarized here and described within this document.

The
application collects information about your:
· OS name and version
· Browser History
· IP address
· Approximate location (via ip)
We need the
information about your device to be able to deliver suitable offers. Some of
our partners offer ads in a certain area, so we ask for your IP address to
locate your approximate location.
4.6 Third-Party
Tools:
We use
third-party analysis tools to constantly improve the app. We only track
anonymously the click behavior of users when using the app and evaluate this on
an aggregated basis.
On our
website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc.
(„Google“), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View,
CA 94043, USA.
Google
Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files that are saved on your
device and that enabled the website to conduct an analysis of the websites you
visited. Google Analytics may also use so-called web beacons (invisible
graphics). Via these web beacons, information such as the visitor traffic on a
website can be evaluated. The information about the usage of our website
(including the IP address of the users) generated by cookies and web beacons
are transmitted to and stored by a Google server that might be located in the
USA or other third countries. This information might be shared by Google with
Google’s contract partners.

relating to Google’s processing of data in the scope of using Google services

about Google services”.

In

We only use
Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled (“anonymize IP”). This results
in the shortening of your IP address by Google within member states of the
European Union or other states that are part of the Agreement on the European
Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is transmitted to
one of Google’s servers in the USA and shortened there.
Furthermore,
we concluded a contract of order processing with Google for the use of Google
Analytics (art. 28 DSGVO). Google processes the data on our behalf in order to
evaluate your usage of the website, to compile reports about the website
activity for us, and to provide us with further services relating to website
and internet usage. Google might transfer this information to third parties
when required by law or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf.
By
integrating Google Analytics, we pursue the purpose of analyzing the user
behavior on our website and being able to react to it. This enables us to
continuously improve our offer.
The legal
basis for the processing of personal data described here is art. 6 para. 1 lit
f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest for this is the great benefit for our offer
that is provided by the functions described above. The statistical evaluation
of the user behavior enables us to react and optimize our offers according to
the interests of our customers in particular.
Within the
scope of order processing, Google is entitled to commission subcontractors. You

5. The
rights of Users
Users may
exercise certain rights regarding their Data processed by the Owner.
In
particular, Users have the right to do the following:
Withdraw
their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw consent where they
have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Data.
Object to
processing of their Data. Users have the right to object to the processing of
their Data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than
consent. Further details are provided in the dedicated section below.
Access
their Data. Users have the right to learn if Data is being processed by the
Owner, obtain disclosure regarding certain aspects of the processing and obtain
a copy of the Data undergoing processing.
Verify and
seek rectification. Users have the right to verify the accuracy of their Data
and ask for it to be updated or corrected.
Restrict
the processing of their Data. Users have the right, under certain
circumstances, to restrict the processing of their Data. In this case, the
Owner will not process their Data for any purpose other than storing it.
Have their
Personal Data deleted or otherwise removed. Users have
the right, under certain circumstances, to obtain the erasure of their Data
from the Owner.
Receive
their Data and have it transferred to another controller. Users have the right
to receive their Data in a structured, commonly used and machine
readable format and, if technically feasible, to have it transmitted to
another controller without any hindrance. This provision is applicable provided
that the Data is processed by automated means and that the processing is based
on the User's consent, on a contract which the User is part of or on

marketing purposes, they can object to that processing at any time without

exercise these rights
Any
requests to exercise User rights can be directed to the Owner through the

Legal action
The User's

stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of this
Application or the related Services.
